TraFi Aviation

As of 1 January 2010, civil aviation regulatory issues in Finland will be handled by the Aviation Sector of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (TraFi).

The Finnish Civil Aviation Authority, established in 2006, will now become history. All of its functions will be transferred to TraFi Aviation.

issues aviation regulations
grants licences and certificates
oversees licence and certificate holders
participates in international co-operation
oversees aircraft manufacture, maintenance and sport aviation, air operators and aviation training
and air navigation services, airspace use and aerodromes
gives statements and issues regulations
