Finavia's role in incoming function
Finland has annually around 6,4 million (year 2007) arriving passengers. Our network of 22 airports provide a unique portfolio of airports in the whole of Finland from Helsinki to Lapland.
Finavia's mission is to support the growth of the incoming (inbound) tourism trade in Finland. Finavia works in close cooperation with and for the Finnish travel industry (local tourism boards, local development forums, tour operators, local authorities, incoming agencies etc.) implementing and supporting marketing projects with the industry.
Accessibility and year-round operations to our airports is the common interest within the Finnish tourism industry. We achieve this by focusing on:
Transparency - equality and confidentiality. Finavia is a neutral partner in the Finnish tourism trade. Our aim is to ensure sustainable growth within our airport network together with the domestic as well as international tourism trade.
Professionalism - to promote best practise and encourage sustainable and growing business. Finavia offers airport know-how and connects the interested groups.
Networking - to develop relationships with airlines, tourism board Visit Finland , local development forums, tourism suppliers and buyers both abroad and in Finland through an active role in business and social events.
