Airport operations on Friday during the stoppage by the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors (JHL)
Finavia will be able to use the personnel and supervisors present and keep 16 airports open during the stoppage by the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors (JHL) from 12 noon to 6 pm on Friday, 11 September. It will be possible to fully take care of air traffic at Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
Regarding Kajaani, Kuusamo, Kruunupyy, Pori and Enontekiö, air passengers should directly contact the airline if something is unclear.
Before and after the stoppage, all Finavia airports will be open as usual, and flights will be taken care of in schedule.

Besides Helsinki-Vantaa, it will also be possible to take care of air traffic at the airports of Turku, Tampere-Pirkkala, Mariehamn, Oulu, Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Ivalo, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Savonlinna, Varkaus, Kuopio, Kemi-Tornio and Lappeenranta. Flight safety will not be compromised at any stage, but delays will be possible.
The work stoppage will concern a total of about 500 Finavia employees throughout Finland. Nearly 200 of these are based in the capital area.

Finavia is presently investigating how our airports will be impacted by the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors' (JHL) work stoppage from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 11 September.
Finavia will use supervisor resources to handle the air traffic at its 25 airports and aim to avoid disruptions as much as possible. Flight safety will not be compromised at any time. As a priority, Finavia will secure the operations of Helsinki-Vantaa airport, and after that, the operations of other major airports.
The work stoppage will concern a total of about 500 Finavia employees throughout Finland. Nearly 200 of these are based in the capital area.
