At the airport
Passenger document check and security check will be closed 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time of an aircraft. After this time no boarding of the airplane is no more allowed.

Lappeenranta Airport sits at the eastern border of the European Union. From Lappeenranta you can reach Saimaa by water and travel the Saimaa Canal all the way to Viipuri (Vyborg). The airport is only a couple kilometres away from the city centre.
