Finavia supports air carriers in boosting passenger numbers
Finavia will offer air carriers incentives to increase passenger numbers during 2010–2011 in Finland. In 2010, Finavia will reimburse air carriers by three euros for each additional passenger and in 2011 by another two euros.
- These incentive discounts will cover all scheduled air carriers, irrespective of whether it concerns domestic travel or international traffic, says Kimmo Ruotsalainen, Finavia’s Marketing Director.
The discounts will be valid at all the airports operated by Finavia and are tools that are in line with Finavia’s objectives.
- We want to be involved in supporting the aviation business together with the airlines. Finavia aims to provide a cost-efficient business environment. Even before the discount, we were one of Europe’s cheapest airports.
The importance of air traffic for the competitiveness of Finland and its economic regions is crucial. This fact is at the core of our strategy. Air traffic services enable Finland to be present in Europe and its markets as well as globally.
The details and terms concerning the incentive discounts can be found on Finavia's website at http://www.finavia.fi/airlines.
