You can come to Helsinki Airport by train, bus, taxi or car.
The train connection between Helsinki city center and Helsinki Airport was opened in July 2015. The direct entrance to the terminal, however, will open in December at the earliest.
Until then, there are temporary arrangements, when travelling by train to and from the airport. At the moment there is a free shuttle bus that operates between the train station’s further entrance (Tietotie) and the airport terminals.
The shuttle bus operates every 5 minutes between 6am and 11pm. On other times the interval is 10 minutes. The shuttle bus to the train station leaves from platform 25 (T2) and platform 12 (T1).
The short bus ride increases the travel time a bit, so we recommend reserving enough time for the train ride to the airport.
More information and the train schedules are available at HSL website.
The bus connections to and from the airport partly change due to the new train connection. Most of the changes will take place on 10 August.

Finnair City Bus and bus 615 operate between Helsinki City Center (railway station) and Helsinki Airport.
Bus connections to and from other cities of Finland are available in the timetable search of Matkahuolto.
Bus transportation to nearby hotels and airport's parking areas is available free of charge.
The bus stops for both arriving and departing buses are located in front of the terminals.
A journey by taxi from the airport to the centre of Helsinki takes about 30 minutes and costs around 45 to 50 euros. The taxi stands are located right outside the arrival areas of the terminals.
There are also three taxi operators at Helsinki Airport that offer special taxi services, fixed fare shared taxi, tours and charter rides.
