Extension to the P3 multi-storey car park

The extension to the P3 multi-storey car park aims to ensure adequate parking capacity for air passengers and for personnel working in the area. One-third of passengers come to Helsinki Airport by bus, another third by taxi and the rest by car.

The parking capacity at Helsinki Airport is roughly 12,000 spaces with the extension, when the overall amount of spaces increased by around 28%.

The current P3 car park, which has 2,238 car parking spaces, was completed in 1994. After the extension this number increased to 4,650.
