Annual report of the CAA 2003

The CAA Vision for 2004-2007

The strategy of the Civil Aviation Administration was revised in 2003 to correspond better both to the changing air traffi c market and to the challenges set by society around us. Our new Growth Strategy comprises a vision of the CAA as a pioneer service provider for the industry.

Under our new strategy, the CAA actively seeks air travel growth by promoting diversity within the air transport market and by attracting new customer segments to the market. CAA charges will be kept low and services will run smoothly.

Among the CAA’s most crucial success factors is it’s uncompromising safety culture, which lets air travellers feel they are in capable hands in terms of air safety and security.

The CAA works actively with the airlines to maintain service standards at airports. With its effi cient operating models and processes, the CAA is constantly seeking to make its activities more productive – whilst ensuring safety. The CAA’s comprehensive network of airports and associated coordinated air navigation services create added value for all Finns.

The CAA has a highly motivated, professional staff who take their responsibilities seriously. The CAA is an attractive employer that invests in improving staff skills.

The state buys obligatory public services from the CAA, including general rescue services. General offi cial duties will be fi nanced from the government budget.
