An average of 1,803 persons (1,816 in 2002) were employed by the CAA in 2003. However, the number of persons employed by the whole Group rose to an average of 2,054 during 2003 (1,950 in 2002).

In approving the budget for 2003, the board of the CAA decided in 2002 on the principles for paying profit bonuses based on staff productivity. Based on the profitability and profit trends for 2003, the board decided to pay to the established personnel fund the sum of € 0.6 million, which was entered into the 2003 balance sheet as personnel costs.
