Annual report of the CAA

OPENNESS IS ESSENTIAL

The information available on the finances and operations of state enterprises has sometimes been criticised for its lack of transparency. I would disagree, since these enterprises are exceptionally open in their reporting of finances and operations in their annual reports. I have never managed to find comparable information about those traffic infrastructures or official activities which are paid for out of tax funds. Yet since the question with these is, after all, about spending taxpayers’ money and not the level of customer charges, as is the case with air transport, there is cause for greater transparency in their case, too.
