PERSONNEL
An average of 1,819 (1,803) people were employed by the CAA
during 2004. The increase was extremely moderate. There were
an average of 2,105 (2,054) people employed by the whole Group
during 2004. The Group workforce rose by 2.5 %. The highest
relative increase in staff occurred at Airpro Oy.
During the year a personnel strategy based on the CAA’s
business strategy was approved. As part of this strategy,
the CAA activated a middle management training scheme and
professional basic training was begun for certain middle managers,
the aim of which is to improve their leadership and management
skills.
The principles by which staff would be paid profit bonuses
on the basis of actual business results were approved in December
2003. In accordance with these principles a total of 1.4 million
euros (0.6 million euros) is to be paid out of the CAA’s
profits for 2004 to the personnel fund as a profit bonus to
the staff. This expense appears in the balance sheet under
staff costs. A total of 0.04 million euros was paid as profit
bonuses in 2003. Profit bonus data for 2004 is not yet available.
Recipients of profit bonuses are not members of the personnel
fund.
