PERSONNEL REWARDED
The personnel fund is owned and managed by the staff of the CAA. Its purpose is to reward staff for work that contributes to the success of the CAA. All those who work for the Civil Aviation Administration apart from senior management are members of the personnel fund. Membership begins when a person has been in service with the CAA for six months. Shares in the fund accumulate when the CAA pays profit bonuses into it in accordance with an agreed, predetermined formula. The bonus and any profits on investments are annually divided up among the members of the fund. In its first year of existence, about 600,000 euros was paid into the fund as bonuses, and following year the figure was about 1.4 million euros. The sum for 2005 was about 395,000 euros.
