A skill management development programme was begun in 2005. During the year the CAA’s core skills and skill grades in various occupations were assessed. In addition, a professional skills assessment was begun. The overhauled management training programme was continued and training standards determined.
In February 2005 the CAA signed employment and labour contracts with its own central trades unions, which were in line with the national incomes agreement and which are valid from Feb. 16th 2005 to Sept. 30th 2007. The employment contract for air traffic controllers is in force from Feb. 17th 2005 to Nov. 30th 2008.
The staff have been paid bonuses based on the organisation’s business profits since 2003. In accordance with this principle, the CAA will pay 0.4 million euros (1.4 million euros) in staff bonuses into the personnel fund out of its profit for 2005. This falls under personnel costs in the balance sheet. A total of 0.03 million euros (0.04 million euros) was paid as profit bonuses in 2004. Profit bonus data are not yet available for 2005. Those eligible for profit bonuses are not members of the personnel fund.
