The number of people employed by the Flight Safety Authority at the end of the year was 115. In terms of work years, the number of staff was 105.5. The number of work years increased by 14 over the previous year as a result of preparations for the new Authority and new duties.

Most of the staff at the Flight Safety Authority were employed on normal labour contracts but with the foundation of the Authority these were converted to official service contracts with the exception of a few fixed-term labour contracts. At the end of the year there were 108 permanent staff and seven holding fixed-term contracts.
