Finavia employed an average of 1,707 (1,807) persons in 2006 measured
as personnel working years. Th e 5.5 % reduction arose from the separation
of the official functions into a separate agency. The number of personnel
for the entire Group at the end of 2006 was 2,536 (2,385) persons. The
number of personnel in the Group rose by around 6 %. The greatest increase
in personnel was at Airpro Oy.
Work on specifying the competences for the areas of activities continued during 2006. Fields of competence and their skills were specified for the areas of activities during the year and the levels of competence for various tasks were also specified. Training for supervisors continued in accordance with the learning path for supervisors model. Supervisors from the subsidiaries also took part in the training for supervisors for the first time. Tailored training packages were planned for the various supervisory levels.
A profit bonus on the basis of the operating profit has been paid to staff
since 2003. In accordance with the bonus criteria, Finavia will pay the
staff a total of EUR 1.027 million (EUR 0.4 million) from the profit
for 2006 into the staff fund as a profit bonus. This cost is included
in staff costs in the income statement. Finavia also has a performance-related
pay scheme approved by the Board for the managers of the units at corporate
headquarters, regional managers, airport managers and the members of the
management group of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Staff members who receive
performance-related pay are not members of the personnel fund. A total
of EUR 0.03 million (EUR 0.03 million) in performance-related pay was
paid in 2005. The information on performance-related pay for 2006 is not
yet available. The Board of Directors approves the amount of performance-related
pay.
