There are five green “Pastille” collection receptacles at Helsinki Airport. Passengers can donate their left over currency or extra coins to the pastilles. The fundraise is part of a campaing by Finavia and Plan. The collected funds will be used for the daily needs of children in developing countries.

The pastilles are designed by a Finnish designer Eero Aarnio. Four of the pastilles are located after the security control at gates 13, 19, 26 and 33. One pastille can be found in arrivals hall 2B in terminal 2.

Any currency is accepted and used for a good purpose, for example education, health, safety and hygiene of the children in the developing countries.
