Although you can’t bring liquids through security, consider carrying an empty water bottle with you to refill at one of Helsinki Airport’s free water points.
Helsinki Airport’s cold drinking water taps are located in 12 different washrooms. In Finland, all tap water is pure, fresh and drinkable.
“A total of 12 washrooms in our main traffic areas have cold water taps where passengers can refill their empty water bottles with cold drinking water free of charge. These automatic taps are located in 6 men’s washrooms and 6 ladies’ washrooms found near Gates 12–13, 21, 26, 29 and 32,” says Jukka Isomäki, Director at Finavia.
In addition, there are now two hot and cold water dispensers in the South Pier, near Gate 54, where passengers can also get hot water free of charge.
Of course, passengers can also purchase bottled water at the airport’s various restaurants, cafes and shops as well as at the pharmacies and convenience stores.
Water is essential when flying and now, at last, you won’t go thirsty at Helsinki Airport.
