The old P1 and P2 parking hall will serve passengers until 7 January 2019, after which it is time for it to give way to new development. Let’s be patient for a couple of years as we wait for the completion of the new hall – read this for instructions on parking during the renovation project.

The Helsinki Airport Development Programme is now reaching the point where we are no longer just building new but also removing old to make way for new buildings. In total, 29 years and 13 million parked cars is a great achievement for a parking hall as the P1 and P2 parking hall next to Terminal T2 reaches retirement in January 2019.

From the beginning of January, you should leave your car at the other airport parking areas. We request that you are patient for a couple of years until the new parking hall is completed and it is again possible to park closer to the terminal. Nevertheless, we will do our best to ensure that parking is organised as smoothly as possible during the renovation project, too.

Parking 1/2019

P3 and P5 will be closest to the terminals

The parking halls closest to the terminals will be P3 and P5. The outdoor parking areas P4A and P4B will serve passengers as before. Please note that you should reserve enough time when coming to the airport to ensure that you will be able to get from the parking area to the correct terminal on time.

Next to Terminal T1, you can find the P3 parking hall. The distance between P3 and Terminal 2 is approximately 300 metres. The street level of the P3 parking hall will be turned into a Premium parking hall with its own entrance and exit routes enabling smooth parking. The Premium parking hall serves passengers while the P1 and P2 parking hall is closed. It is especially intended for those who are looking for a smooth and fast way to park their car.

Short-term parking will be moved from its current location to the entrance level of the P3 parking hall.

Helsinki Airport’s newest parking hall, P5, is located approximately 300 metres from Terminal T2 and approximately 250 metres from Terminal T1.

Reserve parking in advance

It is always a good idea to reserve parking at the airport in advance – you can ensure that you can park in your preferred parking area and early birds can also save on the price of parking.

Driving to the Terminal 2 departure level, the drop-off ramp, in front of the T2 departures hall, is still possible in January. However, as before, you may not park your car there as the ramp is only intended for dropping off passengers. Taxis will also leave passengers in the same location as before.

The location of taxi ranks and bus stops will remain unchanged at the arrivals level in front of Terminals T1 and T2.
