The construction of the terminal 2 extension have changed the traffic arrangements at Helsinki Airport. Here, you can find information about what to do when dropping off or picking up passengers at the airport.

Dropping passengers off at the airport

The ramp leading to the main entrance of terminal 2 has been demolished. This means that the area in front of the check-in can no longer be accessed by car and passengers should be dropped off one floor below at the arrivals level. One can easily go to the check-in area by using a escalator.

When dropping passengers off at terminal 1 or terminal 2, you may stop in front of the terminal only briefly in order for the passengers to step out of the car. Parking or walking away from the car is prohibited. If you wish to accompany the passengers into the terminal, please use the short-term parking area in P3.

The distance to terminal 2 is approximately 400 metres. Please note, that the max. hight in the area is 2,1 m.
