Travel restrictions have been lifted between Finland and several countries. Passengers are required to check the entry and quarantine regulations of their country of destination before leaving for a trip.

Starting from July 13th, travel restrictions will be lifted for countries where the incidence of the coronavirus is at most eight new cases per 100,000 persons in the previous two weeks. This means that travellers arriving from these countries are not required to follow voluntary quarantine recommendations upon arrival to Finland, or pass through internal border controls.

The lifting of travel restrictions is also being considered for countries in which the number of coronavirus infections has substantially decreased and continues to decline.

The travel restrictions in effect in destination countries may vary, so passengers are required to check the entry and quarantine instructions before leaving for a trip.

Travel restrictions have been lifted from the following countries

  • China
  • Estonia
  • Georgia
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Liechtenstein
  • Lithuania
  • New Zealand
  • Rwanda
  • Slovakia
  • South-Korea
  • Thailand
  • Tunisia
  • Uruguay
  • Vatican City

Finavia strongly recommends that passengers wear masks at airports, avoid physical contact and maintain a safe distance to other passengers whenever possible.

Passengers are urged to familiarise themselves with any travel restrictions in their destination country and Finavia’s checklist for passengers before embarking on their journey.
