Changes have been made to passenger routes at Helsinki Airport starting from Monday, 26 July. For the time being, only the services at gate area 12–21 are available to passengers travelling on domestic flights, as passengers leaving the gate area of international flights are required to have a COVID-19 certificate.

The new entry model and health security processes have led to changes in terminal arrangements and passenger routes at Helsinki Airport.

As the health authorities check COVID-19 certificates of passengers arriving from all high-risk countries, terminal facilities at the airport have been divided. The previously used internal border controls by the Finnish Border Guard have been replaced with the checking of COVID-19 certificates carried out by the City of Vantaa.

Passengers travelling on domestic flights are not required to have COVID-19 certificates and are therefore directed to gate area 12–21, where the services and restaurants of Terminal 1 are available to them. Flights and passengers subject to the checking of COVID-19 certificates are directed to gate area 22–30.
