This autumn, you can check out the best of Finnish culinary traditions at Helsinki Airport. Now is your chance to immerse yourself in these unique tastes from clean nature.

Finnish food has always had its roots in the offerings of our clean and pristine land. Game, fish, mushrooms, berries, and root vegetables are characteristic of our cuisine, as are ingredients produced locally with respect for nature.

The healthy and tasty flavours of this rich tradition are available at Helsinki Airport year-round. We have picked a few tasters for you, representing quality Finnish foodstuffs. Take a bite – you won't be disappointed!

Fly Inn Restaurant & Deli

GATE 27, Sun. to Fri. from 11am to 8pm, Sat. from 11am to 6pm  

Starters: Beef carpaccio à la Fly Inn, roasted leek crème, pickled chanterelles, and organic Parmesan (€14.00)

Main course: Fish and chips (perch filet) à la Fly Inn, Granny Smith mayonnaise, deep-fried new potatoes, and pea purée (€28.50)

Dessert: A slice of Finnish small-farm cheese and currant chutney (€4.90)

Helsinki Sausage Co.

GATES 37–38, Mon. to Sun. from 6am to 8:30pm

Helsingin Makkaratehdas offers a wide variety of sausages, such as Yönakki, Rööperin Grilli, Vehmaan Maku lamb sausage, and bratwurst, all served with bread and extras. The portions are priced from €7.40.

My City Helsinki Cafe Bar

GATE 35, open 24 h (kitchen open 11am to 8pm) 

Local caviar on toast, topped with sour cream (€90.00)
Artisanal yoghurt–blueberry ice cream and other craft ice-cream flavours (€3.50/scoop)
