The renovations to resurface the runway will last for two weeks. Work begins on 24 June. Aviation operators can access the runway again on Monday 8 July.

Finavia is investing more than half a million euros in the runway asphalt work at Pori Airport. The resurfacing work is part of regular maintenance operations.

Currently, there are no regular scheduled flights from Pori Airport, so the maintenance work has no effect on passenger traffic.

According to media information, flights between Pori and Helsinki will start again this year. The City of Pori will publish the name of the airline, schedules and prices at a later date.

In addition to Pori Airport, Finavia is investing almost EUR 1 million in renovating the runway at Kuusamo Airport this year. Finavia’s other ongoing projects include the extensions of Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Ivalo Airports as well as the development programme at Helsinki Airport.
