According to weather forecast, heavy snowfall and strong wind is expected on Thursday and Friday 20.-21.1.2022. Passengers are kindly asked to prepare at least for some delays and to follow notifications of their own airline.

The air navigation company Fintraffic and its air traffic control may have to restrict the number of arrivals and departures for safety reasons due to strong winds and heavy snowfall.

Heavy snowfall often slows down unloading the baggage from the planes which affects the waiting time at baggage reclaim. Also, the de-icing of the planes takes longer. The ground handling companies and airlines at Helsinki Airport will do their best to guarantee as punctual operations as possible.

This In spite of the windy and snowy weather conditions we will do our best to keep the runways open and operations running as smoothly as possible.

We kindly ask passengers to follow notifications of their own airline.

Real-time arrivals and departures are available on our website.
