The train connection between Helsinki city centre and Helsinki Airport takes about 30 minutes. There are two services: train I and train P. Schedules, ticket prices and routes are available at HSL website. At the airport you can buy a train ticket from the following spots:
- HSL ticket automates (by the entrance of the terminals and train station)
- Alepa Grocery Store (T2 Arrivals Hall 2B)
- WH Smith (T1 Departure Hall)
- WH Smith (T2 Departure Hall)
- R-kioski (T2 Arrivals Hall 2A)
- Tourist information (T2 Arrivals Hall 2A)
- HSL Mobile Ticket app
Please note that it is not possible to buy a ticket in the train.
I and P trains offer good connections to long-distance train to different parts of Finland. Schedules, routes and prices are available at VR website.
The train ticket for traveling between Finland and Russia is valid for transportation to the Airport as such. No separate ticket for a Helsinki region commuter train to the airport is needed. You can transfer to the Airport commuter train in Tikkurila, Pasila, or Helsinki. The ticket is valid for trains to the Airport for 80 minutes starting from the scheduled arrival time of the train from Russia at the transfer station.
The entrance to the train station is in the corridor between the terminals.
Buses to & from the airport (i.e. Finnair City Bus)
Line 617 operates between the Hakaniemi market square and the airport on rush hours from Monday to Friday.

HSL buses will drop off and pick up passengers only in front of T2 at Helsinki Airport. The change affects all of HSL’s bus routes to the airport, meaning routes 415, 415N, 561, 562N, 615 and 617.
From 26 December 2018 onwards the Finnair City Buses, operated by Pohjolan Liikenne stops only at Terminal 2.
