The airline Norwegian will expand its route offering from Helsinki Airport, starting scheduled flights to destinations in Morocco and Egypt in October-December 2024. Norwegian will offer weekly flights to Marrakech, Agadir and Hurghada next winter season.

Norwegian will start scheduled flights from Helsinki Airport to Marrakech and Agadir, Morocco, and Hurghada, Egypt, at the end of the year. The routes to Morocco, launching in October and December, are returning routes for Norwegian. The route to Egypt, starting in early November, is a completely new opening.

“We are delighted about Norwegian's new routes! Passengers will now have direct flights from Helsinki Airport to the African continent, further improving Finland's connectivity to the world. At Finavia, we are working hard with our partners to develop route connections. We believe that the new routes will delight passengers," says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s SVP, Sales & Route Development.

The historic megacity of Marrakech is one of Morocco's most popular tourist destinations. In turn, the beach resorts of Agadir and Hurghada offer stunning sandy beaches on the Atlantic and Red Sea coasts respectively.
