Santa Claus
5–23 December, 6.30–8.30 a.m. and 2:30–5:00 p.m.
In the morning, Santa Claus will visit the airport's departure gates and gate area 11–31. In the afternoon, Santa Claus will visit the long-distance flight area in gate area 32–40.
The most beautiful Christmas songs
10 December 6:30–8.00 a.m. and 2:00–3:30 p.m.
The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission and the choir of the Vantaa Parish Union will perform in the departure lobby of Terminal 2. During the performances, a booklet, Kauneimmat joululaulut ("The Most Beautiful Christmas Songs"), will be distributed in the lobby. International Christmas songs in Finnish, Swedish and English will be performed at the event.
During the event, cash funds will be raised for the Mission's work for the disabled. The most beautiful Christmas songs will be presented by the Mission's campaign coordinator Henriika Lindroos for those interested. In December, the most beautiful Christmas songs will be one of the music style options on the long-distance flights of Finnair.
Lucia parade
13 December, 2:15-3:00 p.m.
A Lucia parade (Karamalmi, fifth grade, Espoo) will visit Helsinki Airport. The route is from Terminal 1 to the departure lobby of Terminal 2.
Musical performances
18–23 December
Duet groups from the Sibelius Academy will perform in the store hallway near Gate 26 and in front of the Duty Free store in gate area 32–40. Here is the detailed schedule:
