Finnair’s flights to Helsinki Airport from Turku and Tampere have been on hold since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020. Starting from spring 2022, the flights will partially resume.

In its press release on 4 November 2021, Finnair states that, starting from 27 March 2022, the airline’s flight schedule will include early morning and late evening flight connections that are particularly important for the areas’ business sectors. From May, these flights will be complemented by bus connections, which will connect to the schedules of Finnair’s early evening flights departing from Helsinki Airport.

Tickets for flights to and from Turku and Tampere can be booked on the Finnair website. The updates to the flight booking system will be made on 9 November. Tickets for the bus connections will become available later in spring 2022 and will only be sold together with connecting flights. Finnair is starting discussions with potential transport partners. The bus stops for the bus connections will be located at Tampere and Turku airports as well as in the city centres of Tampere and Turku.
