“It’s great to see growing interest in Kuusamo’s unique nature and winter experiences. Eurowings’ new direct connection from Berlin strengthens the region’s international appeal and offers German travelers a smooth route straight to northern adventures,” says Petri Vuori, SVP, Route Development at Finavia.
The new connection will begin on 20 December 2026 and continue until 14 March 2027. Flights between Berlin and Kuusamo will operate on Sundays using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new route improves Kuusamo’s accessibility from Central Europe and supports the region’s growing international tourism demand, especially during the winter season. The flight time from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Kuusamo and Finnish happiness is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
Eurowings is part of the Lufthansa Group, which is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary. Lufthansa is among the world’s four largest airlines and is Europe’s largest airline group.
