Eurowings will expand its route offering in Rovaniemi by opening a new direct flight connection from Prague this winter. The route, which will be operated once a week, will meet the growing international tourism demand in Rovaniemi.

Eurowings will start flying between Prague and Rovaniemi on 20 December 2026. The route will be operated on Sundays with Airbus A320 aircraft until 21 February 2027.

"Rovaniemi’s international appeal continues to grow, and the new flight connections play an important role in building smooth connections for tourists. It's great to see that Eurowings is also expanding its offering to Lapland from Prague," says Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development.

The new connection will open an even better connection from the significant travel market of Central Europe to Lapland. The number of tourists in Lapland has increased in recent years, and Rovaniemi’s international appeal as a winter destination continues to strengthen. Eurowings will also fly to Rovaniemi from Düsseldorf, Berlin and Hamburg this winter.

The airline Eurowings is part of Lufthansa Group, which is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary. Lufthansa is among the world’s four largest airlines and is Europe’s largest airline group.
