In its latest edition, Monocle, a British lifestyle magazine which focuses on culture, tourism and business, has selected Helsinki Airport among the best locations in global travel for the third time.

Monocle annually selects the best travel experiences in the world for its Travel Top 50 list. The selections range from the best airports, hotels and airlines to the most enjoyable restaurants and cafés.

This year, only two airports made it onto the magazine's list of recommendations. The magazine calls Helsinki Airport a hassle-free airport where switching planes is easy. The Hong Kong International Airport is mentioned because of its excellent magazine stand.

The magazine's reasons for selecting Helsinki Airport are that switching planes on flights between Europe and Asia is convenient and stress-free at Helsinki Airport. By far, the airport is superior over other busy transit airports.

Due to its geographical location, Helsinki Airport is a natural location for continuing your flight, regardless of whether your destination is in the east or west. A further plus is Finnish design, which passengers can enjoy on the easy chairs in the lounges.

Helsinki Airport also made the Monocle's Travel Top 50 list in 2009 and 2011 as both the best airport in the world and the best transit airport in the world.
