The extension work of car park P5 continues. Due to the project, there will be changes to the traffic arrangements on Teletie and Lentäjäntie in early autumn.

The traffic arrangements will change in three stages near the crossing of Teletie and Lentäjäntie.

During the first stage, the entrance to car park P5 from Teletie will only have one lane available during the working hours of the sewer project. Outside working hours, both entrance lanes to P5 will be available as normal.

Towards the end of the project, Teletie's lane will be made wider towards the car park P5.

The HSL bus stop in front of WTC on Teletie won't be in use during the temporary traffic arrangements.

The project is estimated to be finalised and the temporary traffic arrangements removed by the end of September 2015.

The goal is to conduct the work during off-peak hours so that it disrupts traffic as little as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary traffic arrangements may cause.

3,000 new parking spaces at the airport

Finavia will develop the infrastructure at Helsinki Airport considerably over the next few years. The airport prepares to serve 20 million passengers per year in 2020. The more the passenger volumes grow, the more parking spaces are needed.

The extension of P5 aims to ensure a smooth departure for passengers, even during the period when the terminal expansion work is still ongoing but passenger volumes have increased.

With the extension of the car park P5, the number of parking spaces at the airport will increase by about 3,000. The new parking spaces will be available in summer 2016.
