Finavia and airlines provide extensive services for business travellers. As autumn is here, we have compiled a list of tips for passengers travelling via Helsinki Airport to save travel time and board their planes quickly and smoothly.
  • You can find your boarding gate and flight schedule information conveniently on the I'm departing page or by downloading the Helsinki Airport mobile app for iOS, Android or Windows
  • If you are only carrying hand luggage, check in beforehand on the airline's website. At the airport, you can then proceed directly to security control.
  • Choose the security control point that has the shortest queue. There is a new security control point on the second floor of Terminal 2, which is often less crowded. Airlines provide their loyal customers and business class travellers with fast check-in and security control services. Ask your airline for more details.
  • You can access the lounge facilities with airline loyalty cards and business class tickets. Please ask your airline for more details.
  • You may also buy a guest ticket to the Finnair Lounge (gates 37 and 25) and the Aspire Lounge (gate 27).
  • If you want to work with confidential matters, you can rent a private room from the VIP service. Then you can board your plane without queuing and you do not have to worry about your luggage or other travel formalities. Request a VIP room.
  • Suvanto sections are free-of-charge work locations where you can study and relax in peace. They have visual and audio screens, electrical sockets and desks. At the airport, you can also take advantage of the freeWi-Fi.
  • The entrance and exit gates at car parks P1 and P2 use automatic number plate recognition. If you pay for your parking already at one of the machines, the gate will open automatically allowing you a smooth exit.
