Helsinki Airport receives recognition from a prestigious travel magazine: A place among the world’s top 10 airports

Readers of the international travel industry magazine Condé Nast Traveler voted for Helsinki Airport to be among the 10 best airports in the world. More than half a million readers took part in the vote.

Helsinki Airport was selected as the 9th best airport in the world by the international travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler’s 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards. A total of 526,518 readers voted for their favourites this year.

“Helsinki Airport has a strong position among the best airports in the world, and this recognition further strengthens it. We are proud that our work for smooth travelling is recognised internationally, and that Finavia is part of creating a positive image of Finland,” says Ulla Lettijeff, Helsinki Airport Executive Director at Finavia.

Last year, Helsinki Airport reached 10th place on the same list. This year, the airport has received numerous national and international awards and accolades, including the award for the best airport in Europe in its size category. Helsinki Airport has also received several awards for its world-class customer experience.

The largest development programme in the history of Helsinki Airport, worth more than EUR 1 billion, has been successfully completed this autumn. With the development programme, Finavia secures Helsinki Airport’s position as one of the best airports in Europe.
