Helsinki Airport wants to delight all food and wine lovers. Among the new arrivals is a Scandinavian á la carte restaurant, a bistro specialising in organic and local food, and two burger bars. An arctic bar with great views and a renovated wine bar are opening this spring.

Icy drinks or oysters with champagne?

Situated in the European and domestic flight area, Arctic Bar (Gate 30) brings a genuine Nordic-style experience to Helsinki Airport. The feeling is enhanced by interiors featuring plenty of light wood, and familiar Scandinavian delicacies and icy cocktails on the menu.

You can get a taste of the variable Nordic weather and enjoy the great views of the runway on the glass-enclosed terrace.

The popular Wine & View wine bar (Gate 26) draws attention with its clever design. Upon entering, thousands of sparkling bubbles on the LED wall invite you to sit down at the striking counter.

Scandinavian Taste Bar serves platefuls of great food created to customers' wishes (EUR 4.90/100 g).The wide selection ranges from fish roe on toast with sour cream to smoke-cured beef entrecôte.

The excellent international wine list is complemented by a unique cellar selection you can taste by the glass (4 cl). Also on offer are seasonal beers and ciders.

Thursdays are oyster days at Wine & View, and they are available, fresh from the seas of Normandy, while stock lasts.

Wide range of restaurant choices

Towards the end of May, Nordic Kitchen and Burger King are opening in the long haul flight area and forming a food court, even though both have their own table areas. You can find them at Gates 34–35.

Nordic Kitchen is specialised in foods made from Scandinavian ingredients. It offers both an à la carte and a deli section. The second largest burger chain in the world, Burger King, is opening next door.

By the end of June, Bistrot and another Burger King are opening in the arrivals hall of Terminal 2. Both restaurants will serve all airport visitors, as they are located in the area outside security checkpoints.

Bistrot serves tasty, high-quality food without long waiting times. They bake their own breads and offer many organic and local dishes. The restaurants are next door to each other and have a common table area.
