Finavia expects an especially busy weekend at Helsinki Airport from 17 to 20 February, when the winter holidays in Southern Finland begin. The busiest travel times are in the mornings between 5 and 8 a.m. and in the afternoons between 2 and 5 p.m.

The busiest days for arrivals from holiday trips at Helsinki Airport are between 23 and 27 February.

Prepare for your trip well in advance

Arrive at the airport in good time and reserve sufficient time for parking, check-in and security control. There is a separate security control line for families with children.

The best way to guarantee a parking space at Helsinki Airport is to book it in advance in the desired area. For example, the P3 building is suitable for longer parking and is a short walk from the terminal.
