Jamaica’s all-inclusive resorts are high-quality, allowing you to simply enjoy the hotel’s beaches and tranquillity. The city of Kingston, on the other hand, offers colourful street art, music clubs and rum tastings. Both TUI and Tjäreborg arrange holiday trips to Jamaica from Helsinki Airport.

The Arctic Bodø in the north of Norway is one of the 2024 European Capitals of Culture. The town on the coast of the Norwegian Sea is known for its magnificent fjord and mountain scenery: Bodø is a great hub for hikes and other excursions. Bodø also serves as a gateway to the world-famous Lofoten archipelago, located just a ferry ride away from the town. Furthermore, Bodø offers a comprehensive range of music, visual arts and performances that can be enjoyed in the open air and in nature. Finnair will operate direct scheduled flights from Helsinki Airport to Bodø five times a week in June–August 2024.

The Polish university city of Wrocław is Finnair’s new summer season destination in Europe. Wrocław is a traditional university city and a great weekend destination for those looking for a city break. In the city, it is worth going for a romantic evening walk on Cathedral Island: at dusk, a lamplighter, whose job it is to light all the 103 gas lamps on the island, will walk around the streets. From April, there will be scheduled flights to the city from Helsinki Airport every day of the week.

Osaka, Japanese city full of tradition, has gained a reputation as the country’s street food capital, making it a great choice for foodies. The local street food is also inexpensive: the prices of dishes usually range from 5 to 10 euros. During the summer season, Finnair will operate direct scheduled flights from Helsinki Airport to Osaka five times a week.

London, a classic destination, is also a great choice this year. London’s art institutions and museums are booming right now, and this year’s cultural destination offers a fantastic array of exhibitions, plays and museums. Finnair, Norwegian and Ryanair operate several scheduled flights per week from Helsinki Airport to London.

The Slovenian capital of Ljubljana is the wild card of the year. This year, the destination is particularly appealing, with the brand new, more than 3,000 kilometres long, Trans Dinarica Cycle Route opening in the summer. The route will take cyclists from Slovenia through the Balkan countries amid stunning mountain scenery. This summer, you could be among the first to experience a cycling adventure that could become one of Europe’s favourite routes. Finnair will operate direct scheduled flights from Helsinki Airport to Ljubljana in April–October 2024.
