Helsinki Airport has a scenic terrace with great views of Runway 1 and 2 as well as of the apron area (the parking area for aeroplanes).
The scenic terrace has two parts: the outside and inside terrace. The warm interior terrace has a soft drink vending machine, a photo exhibition of Helsinki Airport past and present, as well as displays for arrivals and departures.
Directions
The scenic terrace is located approx. 150 metres away from the terminal on top of the blue glass office building. You can reach it by foot from the exit of the arrivals hall through a covered walkway towards Hotel Hilton and by following the windsock signs.

The nearest parking areas are P1 Premium, P2 and P5. Information on buses and trains, is available on our website.
Opening hours
The outside terrace is closed during winter, but you can watch the planes from the inside terrace. The outside terrace is kept open for as long as possible from early spring to late autumn weather permitting. When there is ice on the outside terrace only the inside terrace is open.
