A security check lane at Helsinki Airport.
At the end of this week, airports start to fill up with holidaymakers. We ask all passengers to arrive at the airport in good time from Thursday, 26 October to Monday, 30 October.

Make sure you have enough time to drop off your luggage and go through security control.

Travel with ease, even in the busiest times: Pack correctly, and reserve a parking spot in advance

When packing, see our instructions to check what you can bring in your hand baggage, what you can put in the cargo hold and which items you are not allowed to take on board at all.

Please remember that mobile phones and backup power sources for laptop computers, i.e. power banks, must be packed in your hand baggage. Do not pack them in luggage going into the cargo hold, because they will have to be removed.

Go to forbidden item search

On our website, you’ll find services for families with children and instructions for unaccompanied minors.

If you are coming to the airport by your own car, we recommend using the parking garage at the airport, either in parking halls P1, P2, or P3, or in the outdoor parking areas P5 or P4. The parking halls are right beside the terminals. During the holiday season, it’s advisable to book a parking space in advance. This ensures that you will be able to park in your preferred P-area.

Book your duty-free purchases online, and collect them from the airport

Did you know that the airport duty-free shops also serve you online? You can check prices online and reserve the goods you want. Your reserved items can be paid for and picked up ready-packed from the Helsinki Duty Free store at Gate 22.
