A wider choice of restaurants is available for departing passengers at Helsinki Airport. A renovated sports bar and the third restaurant of the popular fast-food chain have been opened at the airport.

A new restaurant area has been opened on the upper floor of the gate area at Helsinki Airport. The area opened after a refurbishment that lasted a few months.

The appearance of the popular O’Learys Sports Bar was revamped during the spring. This is the first time that its new Fenway Edition interior can be seen in Finland. Sports enthusiasts can again watch non-stop sports events and enjoy restaurant food in a relaxed restaurant atmosphere before flights.

In addition, Helsinki Airport’s third Burger King restaurant opened next to O’Learys. The world-famous hamburger chain can also be found at the airport in the non-Schengen area and on the arrivals level of Terminal 2.

The refurbished restaurant area is situated on the second floor in the Schengen area, which is open to all passengers. The entrance to the restaurant floor is opposite the Pier Zero restaurant between Gates 28 and 29 and through the Arctic Bar close to Gate 29.

From now on, O’Learys will be open daily from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., and will also serve breakfast. The new Burger King is open from Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Towards an even better customer experience

Finavia offers its passengers a smooth, tasty pre-flight experience. Among other things, the revamped choice of more than 20 cafés and restaurants at Helsinki Airport offers vegetarian food, Finnish specialties, fresh sushi and options for busy passengers.

Gluten-free delicacies and children’s favourites are also available.
