Arctic Airlink will open a connection between the three northern university towns.

The Oulu-Luleå-Tromsø route will be operated five days a week both directions. The schedules are planned to enable smooth transfers in Helsinki Airport, Arlanda and Oslo as well as the smaller airports in Sweden and Norway.

The new route opening in January 12th, 2015, will make travelling significantly faster. The flight time from Oulu to Luleå is 40 minutes and from Luleå to Tromsø 1 hour 20 minutes.

Currently travelling from Oulu to Northern Norway takes as long as the travel to the other side of the world.

The route will be operated with a Saab 340 plane, fitting 33 passengers on board.

The towns increasingly work in direct cooperation in business, academic, urban, administrative and tourism sectors. The new route will enhance cooperation with businesses and promote collaboration between academic and research facilities in the three countries.

Flight tickets can be bought online from www.arcticairlink.com or from a travel agency.
