Swiss airline SWISS started its fligths between Helsinki and Zurich at the end of March. The airline celebrated the route opening with its passengers under Easter holidays on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Passengers departing to Zurich on Holy Thrusday came across a pleasant surprise at gate 14, as SWISS welcomed the passengers aboard with festivities.

The event celebrated the arrival of SWISS to Helsinki Airport and the route opening between Helsinki and Zurich at the end of March.

Passengers were treated with Swiss chocolate, cheese and smoothies, among others.

SWISS Regional Manager Scandinavia & Finland Urs Limacher welcomed the passengers to the flight and thanked Finavia for cooperation and for enabling the route to be launched. Helsinki Airport director Ville Haapasaari and Swiss Ambassador Maurice Darier also spoke at the event.

Full plane of passengers got to enjoy the opening event, music and sweet treats before the flight departed at 10:40 AM.

From Helsinki to Zurich and back five times a week

SWISS operates between Helsinki and Zurich five times a week with Airbus A320. The flight time is 2 hours 45 minutes.

Swiss is part of Lufthansa Group and its a member of Star Alliance.
