Several carriers will increase their flights to European destinations for next winter. Additional flights will be available to Nordic capitals, Kiev and winter holiday destinations.

Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen

Carrier SAS will increase its capacity between Helsinki and other Nordic capitals. One additional flight to Stockholm will be added. This flight will leave Helsinki in the afternoon and return in the evening.

SAS will also add a morning flight from Oslo to Helsinki. This will be the first direct morning connection from Oslo to Helsinki.

SAS’s flights to Copenhagen during the winter season will be flown with larger aircrafts, which means more people will have the opportunity to travel between Helsinki and Copenhagen.

Kiev

For this summer, Ukraine International Airlines increased the number of flights between Helsinki and Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, from five weekly flights to a daily connection. Five weekly flights will also be added to the daily flights for the winter season. This means there will be two flights to Kiev from Helsinki on some days.

Winter holiday destinations

La Palma, the new destination on the Canary Islands, can be reached with direct Lomamatkat flights next winter. Flights to La Palma are operated from Helsinki as of 22 December. Flights from regional airports will begin on 17 February.
