Several airlines have discontinued personal customer service at check-in. In this case, passengers can only check in on the airline's website or using a check-in machine at the airport.

In addition, luggage to be transported in the cargo hold is usually carried to the airline's bag drop point by passengers themselves.

Having automatic airline services is a global trend. Give the machines a try, as they add flexibility to check-in times and make check-in faster during peak hours.

Are you travelling with hand luggage only?

If you are only carrying hand luggage, check in beforehand on the airline's website.

Upon arrival at the airport, you can directly go to security control. Present the boarding pass you received via email or as a text message to the security control employee.

At Helsinki, Oulu and Vaasa airports, you can also check in using the check-in machines at the airport.

You can also check in on the Internet, but you still need to print out your luggage tags using the check-in machine at the airport.

Once you have printed the tag, attach it to the handle of your bag, backpack, golf bag or ski bag.

Then, you can proceed to the bag drop machine. Check the location of your airline's bag drop machine from the airport screen.

Scan the luggage tag at the bag drop machine. Now your luggage is ready for your flight and you can leave it on the belt. You can now head to security control.
