Coming to the airport on Thursday, March 26 between 1 and 2 p.m.? Passengers can enjoy a special moment before their departure as the Helsinki airport, known for its patronage of the arts, will host an opera performance by Sibelius Academy’s Sävelpaja in the departure gate area.

The Sävelpaja students will first perform by Gates 27–29 for European flights and then by Gates 34–35 for long distance flights.

The programme will include light-hearted choir, clarinet and soloist portions and even a playful composition for accompanying laptops and smartphones. Both performances will be brief, about 10 minutes each.

You can also visit our art gallery before or after the show; we currently feature the 150th anniversary exhibition of the master composer Jean S. Sibelius by Aho & Soldan, titled Sibelius & Images of Finland.

The art gallery is located at Gates 37a–e. The exhibition is open all day and night with free admission for all passengers departing from Gates 32–38.

Welcome!
