The first passenger trains began running on Finland's newest section of railway early on Wednesday morning, 1 July. The trains will begin stopping at Helsinki Airport train station as of 10 July, at the latest.

The opening of the Ring Rail Line will be celebrated at several railway stations on 1 July 2015 – at Aviapolis, next to Helsinki Airport, for example. See the special events and train schedules at the different stations on HSL's website.

Soon, the new restaurants and shops at Helsinki Airport as well as the 130 direct flight routes will be only a train ride away when the train station at the airport opens by 10 July. During the interim period, there will be bus transportation from Aviapolis train station to the terminals.

Do you live by the Ring Rail Line? The train connection makes the services at the airport even more easily accessible. Everyone who visits the airport can use the pharmacy, the Alepa grocery store that is open 24/7, the cafés and the restaurants. One of the latest arrivals is the hamburger chain Burger King, which recently opened a restaurant in the Arrivals 2A lobby.
