Looking for delicious snack ideas for your flight? Here are five tips for takeaway food at Helsinki Airport.

1. Alepa

The Alepa in the arrivals hall is open 24 hours a day. Alepa’s wide selection includes snacks for everyone’s taste – whether you want fresh fruit or savoury baked goods.

Alepa also offers smaller snacks – such as nuts, sweets or even crisps – which are easy to pack in your bag as soon as you arrive at the airport.

2. Subway

From Subway, you can quickly get sandwiches for your flight with exactly the toppings you want. The wide range of breads and toppings will guarantee that you get the kind of sandwich you want.

The Subway in the arrivals hall is open 24 hours a day, which means that you can easily grab one of these world-famous sandwiches for your morning or evening flight. In June 2023, Subway opened a second restaurant at gate 16.

3. Kaffet Bakery

If you would like a sweet snack for your trip, Kaffet Bakery in the arrivals hall has fresh buns and pastries. These delicious pastries and various kinds of breads are made from scratch at the café’s own bakery.

The selection also includes more filling salads and lunch sandwiches that are easy to take away and enjoy on your flight.

4. Asia Street Cooking

Head to Asia Street Cooking at gates 37–39 for a taste of Asian street food. The restaurant serves dishes such as filled bao buns, steamed dumplings and tasty banh mi baguettes.

For your drink, we recommend bubble tea, as Asia Street Cooking is the only restaurant that serves bubble tea at Helsinki Airport.

5. Jamie’s Deli

Located at gate 40, Jamie’s Deli serves rustic food cooked on site that is also available for take away.

The ingredients are always fresh and as locally produced as possible. The restaurant’s menu includes tasty artisan pizza, delicious ciabatta sandwiches and freshly squeezed juices and smoothies.
