Air traffic volumes at Finavia’s airport network in Finland remain below pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, the costs of materials and services have increased, and depreciation expenses have grown. Finavia has taken steps to enhance operational efficiency and adjust its cost structure and has updated its strategy to facilitate business growth in response to the current operating environment. A key objective of the strategy is to ensure the profitable growth of air traffic. The company will continue to focus on ensuring the conditions for safe and punctual airport operations and a high level of service at its airports.
In 2026, air traffic charges will increase by an average of 4.9 percent compared to 2025. Passenger charges will rise by an average of 4.9 percent, and landing charges by 5.4 percent. Aircraft parking charges will increase by 4.9 percent and departing passenger security charges by 4.7 percent.
When determining the level of fee adjustments, Finavia has taken into account Finland’s attractiveness and competitiveness, as well as traffic developments at other European airports. In international comparison, the service charges at Helsinki Airport remain reasonable relative to other European airports of a similar size.
Airport users may refer disputes concerning pricing decisions to the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom for resolution, in accordance with the Act on the Airport Network and Airport Charges (210/2011).
