At Finavia’s Ivalo, Kittilä and Rovaniemi airports, there were restrictions and disruptions to air traffic on Saturday, 27 December 2025, between 4 pm and 10.40 pm due to severe weather conditions. Air traffic resumed at Kittilä Airport at approximately 8 pm, at Ivalo Airport at approximately 9 pm, and at Rovaniemi Airport at approximately 10.40 pm.

If an aircraft cannot land at their original airport due to weather conditions, they will be diverted to other airports or return to their point of departure. This also affects departing flights, causing delays to their schedules.

We kindly ask passengers, greeters, and escorts to follow the instructions provided by their airline.

Flights arriving at and departing from Finavia airports can be found on Finavia’s website. Flight information is updated normally as airlines report changes.

So far, winter storm Hannes has not affected air traffic or operations at Finavia’s other airports.

Strong winds are expected in southern Finland during the night, which may require slight restrictions to air traffic at Helsinki Airport. However, there are fewer flights during nighttime hours, so any possible restrictions are not expected to have a significant impact on the smooth flow of air traffic or on passengers.

We continue to monitor the situation, and will update this traffic bulletin as necessary.
