Emirates will launch a new direct route from Helsinki to Dubai starting on 1 October 2026. The route will be operated daily year-round with a modern Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft. The new connection will significantly enhance Finland’s international accessibility.

The new route will improve connections from Finland and Helsinki Airport especially to Asia and the Pacific region. From Dubai, Emirates offers onward connections to more than 150 destinations around the world, and opens up new opportunities for Finnish travellers and businesses alike for both leisure and business travel.

“The new route supports Helsinki-Vantaa’s role as an international hub and strengthens Finland’s connections to global markets,” says Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President responsible for route development at Finavia.

Emirates will operate the route with an Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring 312 seats across three travel classes: Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class. The aircraft’s modern technology supports energy-efficient operations and passenger comfort.

Finavia develops its airport network and Helsinki Airport’s services in close cooperation with airlines. The aim is to enable sustainable and competitive air connections that serve Finland’s business community, tourism and international accessibility.

The new Helsinki–Dubai route complements Helsinki Airport’s long-haul offering and strengthens the airport’s position as a gateway between Europe and the rest of the world.
